Program Director

We are looking for a talented Program Director to lead and take our program team through the next edition to an unprecedented level. Your team will be responsible for the actual content of our events: the talks, workshops and other programs. Your team will consist of 3 program managers and 1 program assistant who you'll manage in creating an incredible conference experience for our attendees, jam-packed with valuable insights and inspiration.

RoleAs a program Director at TNW Events, you & your team will:

• Be responsible for alltracksat TNW Conference 2020, which determine the content direction for the different stages at the event.

• Keep a pulse on the latest developments within the themes by doing research into speakers, companies and trends. You’ll also be in touch with (potential) visitors of our events to learn what they would like to see at TNW.

• Work closely with confirmed speakers to help them prepare for their talks, explaining the format, audience and context, and giving them feedback throughout the preparation process.

• Collaborate with our Program assistant to ensure everything is taken care of for the speakers your team gets on board, including their travel and accommodation, press and media introductions and invitations to invite-only side events, like our renowned speaker dinner.

• Carefully curate the teams choice of talented speakers from hundreds of submissions we receive for our events.

• Coordinate storytelling efforts (on theTNW blog, social media, conference website and newsletters) around the themes and speakers your team works on with the marketing department at TNW.

• Work on a wide range of other events around the globe that we'll be organizing in the future.

You

• Excellent communicator who loves to work out how to get a message across in the clearest way possible. You know how to present your ideas and keep your messages short and concise.

• Experienced in marketing, communications and/or sales. We’re looking for someone that has proven business acumen and can advise the team on finding the appropriate balance between programming great content and achieving business goals.

• Knowledge of the tech industry and community, having worked with digital companies in the past. Eager to dive deep into new technologies such as blockchain and deep learning and learn how they affect businesses and our society.

• Experienced storyteller able to support speakers in turning their insights and vision into a noteworthy TNW talk.

• Highly organised and detail oriented. You enjoy reflecting on and improving your own processes. Good at keeping an overview, even when you’re managing large amounts of information.

• Team player who can lead by example. You enjoy taking initiative and responsibility, continuously looking to grow and improve yourself.

• Passionate about diversity and inclusivity and committed to making a positive change in the world.

• Someone with managerial experience that can lead a team.
