Job Description:

What you will be doing:

  • Own the mobile app and content management system (CMS) product roadmap by overseeing the definition, design, scoping, build, testing and roll-out of features that help to attract, convert and retain users in line with business objectives

  • Engage and collaborate with various internal stakeholders e.g. product owner, UX designer, developers, marketing and where required to ensure alignment on scope and effort

  • Adjust product roadmap according to new changes in requirements and priority in a logical and efficient manner

  • Conduct product audits to existing products and make recommendations for change to increase user conversion, retention and engagement

  • Leverage on analytics tracking and dashboards to identify key insights and translate them into meaningful and actionable product recommendations

 

Requirements

Processes that will help you reach those outcomes:

  • Product strategy & definition – Identify features to achieve objectives and break them into clearly written and implementable user stories that support and bring clarity to the software team. User stories should include functionality description, scope of story, acceptance and supporting documentation.

  • UX thinking – Create user flows to help product owner visualize end-to-end user experience tied to each feature

  • Research – Ability to plan and execute various types of research methodologies e.g. focus groups, user interviews, survey, usability testing to uncover key insights and translate them into product recommendations

  • Project management – Oversee the on-time and successful implementation of the product, by working in a cross-functional team to deliver solutions while maintaining prompt communication with the team and all stakeholders

  • Data – Leverage on analytics tools to measure success, present opportunities and inform solution creation in product development process

Skills and experience required:

  • Min 4 years of product management experience within a start-up and agile environment, working with designers, developers and stakeholders

  • Comfortable in working in a fast-paced environment that has a high velocity of change

  • Strong stakeholder management and negotiation to ensure buy-in to the work of the team. This also includes prompt updates to stakeholders to inform about scope changes, relevant development progress, and timelines

  • Ability to turn incomplete and ambiguous ideas and feedback into solid action plans

  • Excellent communicator skilled in producing concise and informative presentations

  • Knowledge and ability to run agile/ scrum/ waterfall development methodologies is a bonus
